BuilderBase vs Jobber
Looking for a Jobber alternative?
BuilderBase is simpler, includes more users for the money, and puts everything on the estimate and invoice side (good/better/best options, deposits, e-signature, online payments) on the $39/mo plan. Here's an honest look at both, including where Jobber wins.
7-day free trial. No credit card. No contract.

Honest answer
Where Jobber is the better pick.
- Route-heavy days. If your crews run lots of short stops, Jobber's route optimization and GPS tracking (Grow plan and up) save real drive time. We don't have either.
- You live in other apps. Jobber connects to 100+ tools including Xero, Gusto and Zapier. We connect to QuickBooks Online and Google Calendar, and that's it for now.
- Getting paid at the door and financing. Jobber offers Tap to Pay and consumer financing through Wisetack. Both are on our roadmap, not in the product yet.
- Marketing, phones and a Spanish app. Jobber has a marketing suite, an AI receptionist, a Spanish-language app, time tracking, and a big help center and community. We have none of those.
The other side
Why service pros switch to BuilderBase.
-
More of your crew, for less.
Starter includes 2 users at $39/mo and Pro includes 10 at $99/mo. Extra users are $15/mo. Adding the person who answers the phone shouldn't change your plan.
-
The whole estimate on the entry plan.
Good/better/best options, deposits (percentage or flat), e-signature, photo attachments, a Q&A chat with the client and automatic follow-up reminders are all on the $39 plan.
-
Built for jobs that last more than a day.
On Pro, schedule bigger work on a Gantt chart with dependencies, send change orders the client signs, track selections, and get reminded before a vendor's insurance certificate expires.
-
Hide the numbers from the field.
Make your own roles and flip one switch to keep pricing off a crew member's screen. Your subs see the schedule, not your margins.
